EXPERIENCE


Pilates Classes

June - Present

  • Planned and delivered nearly 100 hours of instruction following completion of teacher training at Muse Movement, working with a wide range of individuals in large classes, small groups, semi-private, and private sessions

    • Work with clients of all genders, ages 12 to 90, across a broad range of Pilates experience and functional fitness levels, providing individualized support and delivering a comprehensive practice in a positive, safe, and high-energy environment

    • Provide options and a customizable group class for clients recovering from surgery, injuries, or with restrictions, while also engaging and challenging clients with more advanced understanding of movement

  • Cultivated two loyal groups of clients that regularly attend a Monday and Saturday afternoon class

Muse Movement

April - Present

  • Set up mats and props for class at as directed by the instructor; clean, tidy, and put everything away after class

  • Use Momence to check in clients, make sales, add notes to customer profiles, run reports, and make follow up phone calls to new or potential patrons

  • Welcome clients to the studio, prioritizing learning the names, faces, and stories of Muse clientele to support and contribute to a vibrant, like-minded community

Wholesale Fashion

2012 - Present

  • Design, source, draft, and sample two Sara Duke collections each year (spring/summer, fall/winter)

  • Organize and select a model, photographer, videographer, location and theme to showcase each collection

    • Edit videos, update website and social media accounts for public consumption

    • Create a virtual look book, line sheets, and order forms for wholesale clients

    • Connect with shop owners through email, phone calls, and in person to secure wholesale orders

      • Follow up with shop owners many times during booking season

  • Grade patterns, cut, sew, and manage production of all garments

    • Foster and maintain positive and beneficial relationships with sewing, printing, and pressing contractors

    • Inspection and quality control of all garments

  • Press, label, pack, and ship boxes to shops so that orders are received on or before the estimated delivery date


Sara Duke Factory Store

2010 - 2012

  • Owned and operated a retail store front at 1244 Bloor Street West that sold locally-made clothing and jewellery from independent creators, including dresses and separates by Sara Duke

    • Successfully built a brand and a following by observing customers, asking questions, and committing to making quality garments in Canada and charging a fair price

    • Organized and executed special events to promote the shop, brand, and to make connections and contribute to the larger Bloordale community

    • Preformed opening and closing duties, as well and maintaining a clean and organized space

    • Managed a team of 3-6 employees

Markham Street Studio

2009-2010

  • Owned and operated a custom dress and tailor shop with a storefront on Markham Street next to Honest Eds in historic Mirvish Village

  • Immediately after graduation, secured a position at The Bay as a production associate in women’s wear

    • Compiled samples and images to assist in the design process

    • Created detailed technical packages for suppliers overseas

      • Communicated with overseas vendors to ensure garments were executed to specification
